You know I love tattoos! They are a sign of self expession. In my opinion, everyone has a right to have one if they want one. Tattoos aren't just meant for our service men or bikers. That being said....

Why in the world would anyone let their (under 18 year old) child get a tattoo? I know of several that have them and as a parent, I'm appalled!! I know a teenager that recieved his first tattoo at 12. ON HIS FOREARM!!! Now tell me this, MOM, depending on this child's future career path, how is he going to cover this up. Wearing long sleeve shirts in the summertime?? Or do you have no greater faith in your son that he won't make no more of himself than working in a garage. (Don't get me wrong, that's not a bad career choice, you can make great money at it) Even McDonalds frowns at tattoos that are showing. What if he wants to become an investment banker or a lawyer....Doctor?? He's a bright kid and now because of something he wanted at 12 years of age, he's a tad limited in his future career choices.

I'm not putting down parents that let their kids get tattoos. This is just my personal opinion. But I feel they should use their parental power to say NO!! Just say no if Jimmy wants a tattoo. If he or she feels so strongly about it now...they will still want one when they're 18!!

If you can't say no....get them inked where it can't be seen :)
